St. Elizabeth's Debutante Ball
History
St. Elizabeth's Debutante Ball is a yearly event that started in 1983 by a small group as a fund raising event to the Parish. Ever since it started, this event has become one of the popular event of the parish. It's typically held around third quarter (around September) of the year. The Debutante Ball is organised and coordinated by a committee consisting of parishioners and supported by many other volunteers. A new committee was formed in 2014.
St. Elizabeth’s Debutante Ball has given College school girls from all walks of life the opportunity to explore and improve their expressions and to participate in opening, formation and the show dancing.
The festivity begins traditionally at 7 pm with a reception followed by the presentation of the debutantes, the debutante figure, dinner, and dancing in the ballroom. Music is provided by DJ with a fantastic evening with superb mind blowing ball for the evening.
The Debutante committee welcomes and receive the guests, debutante’s parents, guardians, grandparents, family and friends warmly at the venue. The formal debutante ceremony with the audience make their way to the main venue, where the debs, their escorts and families enjoy an outstanding show, meals and dancing to the sounds of the DJ.
The scene befits a true fairy tale story for the evening's debutante ball. Beautiful young women wearing tiaras and white satin gowns make their formal entrance with an elegance walk to the centre of the hall.
